E-THERAPY
Online counseling or E-Therapy is a perfect way to 'see' a therapist without leaving your own home... Busy schedules, difficulty with traveling to the therapist's office, or perhaps not wanting to go out in public, privacy concerns, and 24 hour availability are only a few of the reasons given for using an E-Therapy service. E-therapy is as close to face to face therapy as you can get with current technology whilst still maintaining your confidentiality. Neither of you can see or hear each others body language. Your counsellor may not be able to see you are angry or upset, so you will need to make this clear in your writing. Your privacy is guaranteed; information stays between you and your counsellor. And, at NO time is any information made accessible to third parties.
E-Therapy is not suitable for emergencies or any sort of urgent crisis
If you feel that your need is more urgent then it is highly recommended that you contact a counsellor near to you and make an appointment for a face to face consultation.
E-Therapy can be helpful in dealing with depression, anxiety, stress and relationship and work issues.
E-Therapy Sessions
After purchasing your email session, complete the form telling the therapist about you and your reasons for seeking therapy. Your therapist carefully reviews your enquiry and responds to you by email with a well thought out answer within 48 hours. This process is one email session.
With e-mail, much of the benefit for you will derive from the writing itself!
You may have a simple one-time question, or you may choose to use this as a way to establish a long term relationship with the counsellor. |
